Our mission statement:
“Building our support community one family at a time.”
Although great strides have been made and success stories bring credibility to mainstreaming, this does not hold true to all of those diagnosed.
Mauro, an illustrator and graduate from Kent State University, and Beverly, a Communications graduate also from Kent State, identified a great need to provide long term care for adults diagnosed with autism. The DiVieste’s son Michael(Mikey) is diagnosed with autism/severe developmental delay. Mikey is the inspiration for the Mikeyfied Fund and it’s purpose. Thus in January 2012 The Mikeyfied Fund For Adult Autism was born.
